How to verify a kit yourself
Find the product code
On Nike kits, it's printed on the inside label, bottom right — directly under the size (e.g. FN8771-011), as shown above. That's the one code shown here, so treat it as an example, not a universal rule.
Search it on Google Images
Search that exact code. If it pulls up images of the correct kit, that's a strong sign it's genuine. If a brand-new piece still has its tag, the same code should also appear there.
Check the font, not just the code
Some of the most-faked kits get copied with the right code — but the printed font on the label often gives them away. If it looks slightly off, that's a red flag.
Real photos of your exact shirt
Every footyluvrs listing shows the actual piece you'll receive — front, back, patches, label, and tag — never a stock catalog photo.
How we grade every kit

| New With Tags | Brand new, original tags still attached. |
| New Without Tags | Brand new condition, but tags are no longer attached. |
| Mint | Looks brand new, with no or only the slightest signs of wear. |
| Excellent | Minimal signs of use — think slight print bobbling or tiny marks. |
| Very Good | Light wear or minor flaws that don't affect how the shirt looks. |
| Good | Visible signs of wear, but fully wearable. |
We even tell you when a nameset isn't official
Some retro pieces come with unofficial or reproduction namesets from their era — when that's the case, we say so directly in the listing rather than letting you assume otherwise. Authenticity means being straight about the shirt, not just saying "authentic" and hoping you don't ask.
